Yemen has seen a sharp increase in the number of orphaned children. According to Mercy Relief, the country has over 1.1 million orphans. The children can’t afford a meal, live in loneliness and most drop out of school to fend for themselves.
“You have two hands, one to help yourself and the second to help others”. This quote by Audrey Hepburn says it all when it comes to assisting children who have lost parents. We would all like to grow in families where we are taken care of by our parents. But this is not always the case. For children, an environment without a guardian can make them vulnerable.
In our mission to alleviate poverty, we have an arm that caters to the needs of orphans in Yemen. No child should miss education in the name of fending themselves. We provide food aid and education sponsorship to orphans to give them a fairer environment.
Children should feel a sense of belongingness to achieve full potential. That is why it is necessary to provide support to them to prevent victimization. Through our program, we have offered school materials like bags and foodstuffs to needy children.
You can touch the lives of the vulnerable children in Yemen through your support. Donate and touch the life of a destitute child who could go without a meal today if no action is taken.
