According to the International Committee of the Red Cross, more than 80% of Yemenis can’t access basic health care. Lack of healthcare and medical care has a trickle-down effect on the living standards of communities as they pay for the services from their earning. To increase access to health services, International Council for Relief and Development (ICRD) provides equipment, staff, and medical supplies to deserving families and individuals.
At the peak of corona virus pandemic in 2020, we worked with other organizations like World Medical Relief to support regions facing shortage in medical services.
Through the support of our donors, we were able to send a consignment of medical supplies, equipment, and devices to hospitals in Yemen.
Proper diagnosis, quality health, and equality in provision of medical services are our key pillars. We work in tandem with both governmental and non-governmental organizations to offer solutions to the health challenges facing humanity. Taking action rather than sympathizing with those suffering should be the objective. Universal health coverage is achievable, but only if medical support can go beyond our regions, races, beliefs, and gender.
